Spring is here and it's almost Easter which makes it a perfect time to join the Hop Into Easter blog hop hosted by Amber of Follow the Yellow Brick Home.
If you are following the hop in order, then you were just at Let's Add Sprinkles - Katie has such a fun style and I love those blue and white dishes.
I don't do a lot of Easter decorating - my look this spring is mostly about flowers, but you will spot bunnies tucked here and there around the house and garden.
I stood back in the kitchen to snap this pic to show you how tall my grandmother's step back cupboard is so you probably can't spot the bunny in the entry.
She is standing in the straw basket surrounded by my new favorite paper flowers.
One thing thing that is guaranteed each Easter season is that my wire chicken, purchased in Tijuana over 40 years ago, will be somewhere in the house filled with chalk eggs.
It was a quick fix to change the box of flowers into an Easter arrangement
by simply adding a bunny.
This silly paper rabbit is new this year
and the green chairs in the living room were the perfect place to let the carrot leaves hang down.
I usually decorate my old Underwood for holidays, but I just added the quote last week
so all I did was pop Mr. Rabbit into the vignette.
We are spending much of our day outside so of course we need a bunny or two in the garden.
It's easy to spot the white bunnies, actually salt and pepper shakers,
but I bet you didn't see the metal rabbit tucked into the plants.
I was going to tuck more bunnies around the garden, but I made the mistake of baking croissants.
Maybe tomorrow I'll find a spot for the rest of my bunnies.
Now it's time to send you off to visit Linda of Itsy Bits and Pieces.
Thanks for visiting today
and enjoy the rest of the posts on the hop.
Love all the little bunnies tucked here and there! The green moss one is on my to-buy list. Next time you have iced tea and croissants (and strawberries!) in the garden, invite us! We'd have so much fun. I might be a little late because, you know, Virginia and all, but eventually I'd arrive! Happy Easter and Spring to you dear Carol.

Carol,
ReplyDeleteAnother great visit to your house with your bunnies and blooms.

Good morning dearest Carol! Oh how I love your style. Bright, light, California beauty. Your honeycomb shaped tiles on your floor are those very ones that were in our little 1920 Spanish cottage in L.A. when I was a child. I will forever love that style. And like you, I don't decorate for Easter but rather, I decorate for spring and if a bunny shows up in the décor, so be it! We had 60 degree weather yesterday and Downtown was packed with happy people due to the weather AND the Final Four Championships at US Bank Stadium. HOWEVER....we are getting slapped with a "massive" snow storm on Thursday. Minnesota in April. Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteYou have a very eclectic collection of bunnies. I love the little vintage one! I also love how you decorate your vintage typewriter for the seasons. :D
ReplyDeleteCarol, I always love your beautiful home with vintage as the background and pops of color ~ usually flowers ~ as the focal points. Loved how you inserted bunnies here and there. The baskets and bags are whimsical and nostalgic and wistful. Have a beautiful day in your lovely setting.
ReplyDeleteYour grandmother's cabinet is beautiful! I loved seeing your bunnies and how you've decorated for Easter and spring.
ReplyDeleteYour house and garden look just beautiful for spring and Easter. I love all of your cute bunnies.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to have your grandmothers incredible cabinet. I love the vignette you created to its side. And the lightly embellished typewriter had me ohhh and aww.
ReplyDeleteI love everything about your spring and Easter decor! Everything is so bright and fresh. Your typewriter had me swooning too - it's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOh Carol, how I love your bright and airy home!! There is such serenity and freshness in each area of your home. That white cupboard is stunning and the colors in the dining are welcoming and inviting.
ReplyDeleteThe bunnies are adorable but my favorite are the old typewriter with the flowers and your gorgeous sun drenched garden. Love your style!!!
It was fun joining you on this Easter blog hop. Wishing you a wonderful spring season.

Oh What fun hiding the bunnies here and there ... The Easter themed decorating is so happy and inspiring... I love all the vintage, personal touch and items like the typewriter, your grandmother's cupboard shakers and your artwork. Bunnies, bunnies everwhere ( Ha ha)Your garden is so inviting too...I'd love to sit myself down on your patio with alittle iced tea and croissant.. The roses and hydrangea really warmed my heart and make me think of Spring...This was such a lovely post. Thank you for sharing...Hugs
ReplyDeleteLove this one. . .again inspiring. We've had gusting wind and downpours to the point of washing plants out of the garden so don't think bunnies would last long here. . .they'd soon be floating in the bay at the base of the hill! xxx J.
ReplyDeleteLike you, I don't do much decorating for Easter - just a few bunnies here and there. I love your kitchen table centerpiece!
ReplyDeleteCarol, love them all. I especially love the box on your table. I have that same box and I love how your flowers look in it. I will have to try it..Happy Wednesday..Judy
ReplyDeleteCarol, flowers are the perfect expression of spring. We did have beautiful spring weather, but today it has snowed all day in Alpine. Love your sweet bunnies and croissants sounds like the best choice!

Your bunnies and blooms are all so sweet and lovely but I have to say that stepback cupboard has totally grabbed me. so gorgeous! your outside space is heaven. Happy Easter, Carol!
ReplyDeleteCarol, I always love visiting your house and seeing the new ways you've moved things around. You had me right away at your entry with the cute bunny in the basket along with those lovely paper flowers. I love your grandmother's cupboard and all the flowers you have displayed in your house. They're calling for snow here in Michigan tonight. Say it isn't so!!
ReplyDeleteCarol, it's charming as always! The little bunnies look as if they are right at home among all your beautiful flowers and gardens. How funny about baking distracting you from decorating you garden! I hope you enjoyed your croissants and the sunshine and flowers!
ReplyDeleteSo happy you hopped with us! Happy Easter!
I always love to see how you decorate your typewriter, Carol! Everything's so pretty and fresh; love it as always:)
ReplyDeleteEvery time I see your Grandmothers cupboard I drool with envy! I love all your Spring bunnies and beautiful decorations! Everything looks so pretty. I have a similar typewriter that you do but I have not been able to figure out how to remove it from the bottom of it’s case! I’ve tried so many times! Until I do I can’t use it so I enjoy seeing yours!
