I'm thankful for . . .

I know it's a little early for this post, but two people on Instagram got me thinking about thankfulness.

Yesterday one person asked, "what are you thankful for today?" and my reply was "nothing".

I went on to explain that by nothing I meant that I had absolutely nothing I had to do and after a busy week I was thankful for no commitments.

The second person, Rhiann of @starry_sky_farm posted this picture and I responded.

It got me thinking of all I am thankful for . . .

Mexican sunflowers in the garden - at least one blooms each day.

Walks on the beach with friends - do you see that little guy in the wet sand?

Blogging friends like Connie of Crafty Home Cottage who just sent me the cutest Christmas banner

and Cindy of Cloches and Lavender who sent me this wonderful book I won in her giveaway.

Finding the perfect little flowers in the garden for a table setting I'm
working on for the "Gather 'Round the Table" blog hop.

And I'm especially thankful for this little guy we'll see in just 10 days - I'm definitely missing the curls after his first haircut.

What are you thankful for this month?

  1. Oh my goodness . . . I'm guessing that this is your grandson . . . how time flies :) He is adorable.
Thank you for the shout out, I am happy you like the banner. Your gift of the sweet bathroom sign is now hanging. You inspired me to paint my woodwork and give our bathroom a fresh coat of white paint . . . thanks for putting that bee in my bonnet . . . I needed a push :)

I'm thankful for God's grace and for the many blessings that I enjoy living in this beautiful country of ours.
    Have a lovely week.
    Connie :)

  7. I am thankful to be home again after our trip to England and Paris -- as wonderful as it was, it was also challenging. I am grateful for doctors who act in a timely way and for adorable Baby Grands. I am grateful for a wonderful and supportive family, heating repair people who come on a Sunday and friends who will both play and celebrate with you and listen when it seems dark. For blogger friends who are real-life friends now, too. For all that is my life.

  9. Oh Carol thanks for the mention. You will have so much fun with the little one, so adorable.

I have so many things I am grateful for but my improving MS, husband and pups are at the top. I will never take my ability to do so many things I haven't done in many years.

My list is large, simple things make me grateful.

Enjoy the start of your week

  14. Thank you for the thought provoking post. I too love it when I have a week (or even a day) with no plans. That doesn't happen often. Life is so busy, and yet I'm thankful that I'm able to be a participant in the "busy-ness" which means I'm still able to walk and move, hear and see.... and that my heart beats strongly in my body. I'm always always grateful to have my three wonderful sisters to share life with, as well as my hubby, and my son and his darling (almost) wife. Much to be thankful for and blessed, even though there have been some dark days and sad years in my life... as I'm sure just about everyone has to go through too. The beauty of nature and being able to be IN it and take photos of it, is high on my thankfulness list too! xoxo Marilyn
