Spring is the time of . . .

"Spring is the time of plans and projects."

Leo Tolstoy - Anna Karenina

And, spring is the time of flowers -

In my bicycle basket after a ride along the beach.

The nurseryman is beginning to recognize me - buying flowers on Sunday afternoons and carrying them home in my basket.

On the porch - next Saturday these will be planted in the yard and I will buy new plants for the porch on Sunday.

In the dining room - all picked from my garden - in a caddy,  or a jar, or old ironstone.

In the living room - in a pitcher or a basket.

And now, I am off to follow Leo Tolstoy's advice and follow through on a new project.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

  35. Yes your second mosaic and my one are very similar! I loved visiting your blog and sense we enjoy a lot of the same thing. I love what I see of your beautiful cottage. I have the same or very similar cedar hope chest I inherited from my grandmother--it was hers and she gave it to me when I became engaged. It's been a coffee table thing but currently is at the foot of our bed and on occasion I knock my knee or leg on it when I get up in the night! It stores special things. Bravo for you painting yours.
