Spring is the time of . . .

"Spring is the time of plans and projects."

Leo Tolstoy - Anna Karenina

And, spring is the time of flowers -

In my bicycle basket after a ride along the beach.

The nurseryman is beginning to recognize me - buying flowers on Sunday afternoons and carrying them home in my basket.

On the porch - next Saturday these will be planted in the yard and I will buy new plants for the porch on Sunday.

In the dining room - all picked from my garden - in a caddy,  or a jar, or old ironstone.

In the living room - in a pitcher or a basket.

And now, I am off to follow Leo Tolstoy's advice and follow through on a new project.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Gorgeous colors Carol! You are making me long for more flowers in my life, but my local nursery told me our ground is still too cold to plant! I bought some creeping phlox but I need to wait at least a week!

THANK YOU for coming to let me know you would love to participate in the link party! I love that France is part of your top ten places for you. It is a lovely country, wonderful friends and colleagues of mine are French and I just love the place.

I am putting your name on my list! Stay tuned....Anita

Your flowers are so pretty. I love the window. I know I've seen pictures of it before but there is just something about the windows open with flowers on the sill.

We have so many things blooming right now. Later this week I have to get some plants for the pots.

Isn't spring wonderful.

Yes your second mosaic and my one are very similar! I loved visiting your blog and sense we enjoy a lot of the same thing. I love what I see of your beautiful cottage. I have the same or very similar cedar hope chest I inherited from my grandmother--it was hers and she gave it to me when I became engaged. It's been a coffee table thing but currently is at the foot of our bed and on occasion I knock my knee or leg on it when I get up in the night! It stores special things. Bravo for you painting yours.

You know your pictures looks like some kind of dreamy painting, right? The windows open, the flowers, the bicycle basket...it's all too perfect and I love it. If I rode my bicycle to the nursery here in the Dallas area I'd get squished. :)
