After all the Christmas decor is removed, the house seems bare and I actually like that for a few weeks,
I don't decorate every room, but I have a fun bringing out all my happy hearts.
I'll admit to going a bit overboard in the kitchen,
but the head chef has not complained.
And I will also admit to constantly tweaking things on the shelves.
The guest room has the most Valentine decor -
too bad no guests are scheduled for February.
It's left for me to enjoy
all the Valentine touches.
A little Valentine table setting from last night

I even tucked a few hearts here and there in the garden.
How about you,
are hearts popping up around your house?

Carol, I loved seeing all your hearts. The roses too. Your kitchen has beautiful touches of red. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteCarol ~ no V-day decor here... I'm enjoying the blankness till it is time for spring stuff!
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely how much you enjoy your home and creating and "tweaking" your sweet vignettes. Always something special to see at your house!
ReplyDeleteSorry to say no hearts in my house, but I sure like yours. They look great. Love always seeing your vignettes. Wish I could crawl around in the garden, if I did, I would need the paramedics to get up on my feet. LOL
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend.
Mary
I ♥ what you've done in your cottage for Valentine's Day. There are a few hearts popping up here at our house too. :)
ReplyDeleteYou have lots of heart goodies, the rose flower pillow is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteHow could the 'head chef' object to being surrounded with reminders of love. I just love what you have done in the kitchen. It speaks to my heart.

Oh so pretty, Carol! Well around here, too much work, cold, snow and general busyiness keeps us from celebrating our 38th anniversary of meeting on Valentines Day. But as we've both agreed, every day for us is a celebration of our union and friendship and escapades! No red (I don't like the color) in my home....just the same muted tones but I love it.
ReplyDeleteHAVE FUN!
Gosh, how cute! Carol, I love your cottage in all its red and hearts for February! No hearts here, just a flag in the landscape.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet little home - love the little vignettes, but what really caught me eye was the red and white checked dinner plate - love it!!
ReplyDeleteCarol- Everything looks so sweet and festive. I wish I could spend a night in that sweet guest room!!!
ReplyDeleteI haven't done anything for Valentine's Day here. All of my decorating stuff is stored in a warehouse...sigh...there is always next year (I hope). xo Diana
Your Valentine's decor is always so pretty - I love the red!
ReplyDeleteHi Carol. Can never have too many hearts. Happy Valentine's Day to you.
ReplyDeleteHi Carol!Love your Valentine's decor,so sweet and adorable.Your kitchen is very charming...Actually,your blog is very charming and cheerful,I love everything here!Your Grand is sooo cute!!!Hugs,Maristella.
ReplyDeleteHi Carol!
ReplyDeleteI love your hearts! I also have lots of hearts around. Decorating for Valentine's Day definitely helps brighten things up. It's kind of dreary here in NJ, so the bright red really helps. I love the way you cut out the hearts on printed paper. Love your guest room too!
Happy Valentine's Day!
Terry
Just a few hearts here and there. I'm not able to do much decorating or cleaning up at the moment. I hope by Spring to have a real change in decor!! Love your touches of red in the kitchen and guest room.
ReplyDeleteI love all your cute red and white dishes in your kitchen! I don’t think I will be doing much for Valentines Day, unless I get a heart shaped box full of chocolate.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post, and I wish I could tuck some pretty things into our garden, but as it's supposed to rain the next ten days, I can't fluff the garden at all. We're all mildewing around here!!! ;P SO I'll have to enjoy seeing yours, Carol!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing the pretty hearts and other touches of red around your adorable cottage.
xo,
Ricki Jill
Well, I don't have any hearts out yet, but you've rather inspired me. Maybe I'll do some tinkering today...
ReplyDeleteYou're hearts are lovely and charming. Valentine's Day is the best day to have a personal chef, so enjoy!
Hearts are popping up in my house, but on a very small scale! I have one heart decoration on the shelf in the bathroom and the basket of hearts you made on the table at the end of the hallway, but that's it! I love how you incorporated hearts all over your house. I would love to be a guest in your empty guest room for February! We are at 6 degrees this morning and buried under more than a foot of snow. Only in my dreams would I be hopping on a plane to CA. ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt all looks so cheerful and happy. I love it! I have a few Valentine things our and am enjoying them. Then on to St. Patrick's Day :)
ReplyDeleteYou can never have too many hearts...especially when they're red!!
ReplyDeleteCarol,
ReplyDeleteLove your hearts popping up around your house and garden. There are a few scattered around my house, too.
Happy Valentine's Day,
Judith
Oh my Hearts everywhere. Love it. Makes me want to come stay int the guest room.
ReplyDeleteNo hearts at my place. Maybe when we get to the forever home. ;o)
Happy Valentine's Day Carol. Enjoy spending this special day with Steve and the beautiful love you share.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Kris

Carol, I always love your sweet hearts. And of course, I love your kitchen! Not a bit overboard for me. :) Is the asparagus fern from your garden? Can't wait till I have things to pick and bring indoors. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
Carol your photographs are amazing . . . you'll be having art shows along with your husband soon:) I love what you did with your old typewriter . . . so pretty.
ReplyDeleteLindas imagens. Adoro corações. Feliz dia. Cumprimentos.
ReplyDeleteCarol, your décor any day of the year is so fresh and charming and whimsical and just plain beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove your red kitchen! Full of happiness :)
ReplyDeleteSunday again, it´s snowing and it´s cold outside. Where is the spring???
Love from Titti
Your home is always so full of happiness and joy! I love how it shines through in every corner!
ReplyDeleteWe have been traveling so didn't see this before today. Love your Valentine hearts décor. What a shame you had no guests to enjoy that adorable bedroom!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I have wanted to comment since you published and on other posts as well, but my work Google account won't allow me to comment on blogs, and Blogger does not allow me to switch accounts easily. Such a bother! But I always enjoy your posts even if I am not able to comment.
