On a roll . . .

I barely did any decorating projects for several weeks, but now I am on a roll.

This is what my entry way cabinet looked like in the morning.

And this is what it looks like now.

You are probably thinking that adding a dog to the photo isn't much of a project, but some projects, when done correctly don't look much different.

I emptied the cabinet and put everything on the dining room table.

Steve had 2 comments -

"not another project"!

and

"I hope that will be gone by dinner time because I am making chili for dinner"!

The interior of the cabinet got a coat of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Louis Blue and most things were placed back in the cupboard.

I did some editing and changing up from the cabinet contents of last week.

All the flatware is housed in pitchers to save space.

The lower drawers, which I did not utilize last week, are filled with napkins and tablecloths.

In my post, What Took Me So Long?, I commented on my lack of yellow flatware and as you can see, yellow flatware fills up a pitcher I hand painted several years ago.

Steve likes the end result and he commented that he likes the cupboard with the doors open.

With time to spare before the chili was ready, I did an easy table setting using the new yellow flatware.

The cabinet project is finished, a different cabinet is waiting for a coat of Annie Sloan in Old White and there is enough Louis Blue to paint a sign.

But before I paint the cabinet and sign, I have to show you the great package that came in the mail today.

Drop by tomorrow to see the fantastic gift I received from Manuela at A Cultivated Nest.
