Well hello there
My, it's been a long, long time
How am I doing?
Oh, I guess I'm doing fine
It's been so long now,
But it seems now, that it was only yesterday
Gee, ain't it funny, how time slips away.
I was thinking about why I haven't been blogging much
especially because I have been taking photos - deleted 1,428 pics last night!
I decided that's it because I have done very little around the house -
For the most part, our days have been spent out adventuring -
walking around the neighborhood,
kayaking in the harbor,
sailing with family,
hiking the botanical trail
to enjoy all the colorful flowers
after a rainy winter,
celebrating 46 years of marriage
with a long lunch at the San Ysidro Ranch
so we could walk around the grounds in daylight,
and as always, walking on the beach.
I gotta go now,
I guess I'll see you around
Don't know when though
Never know, when I'll be back in town.
What a great post. I am glad you are enjoying your life. It is hard to be on the computer and out and about doing things, isn't it? I struggle with that balance, too, sometimes. Looks like you are having a wonderful time and you can pop in any old time to say Hello! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteJust as it should be. You enjoy your life!

ReplyDeleteOnce summer arrives up north, I spend very little time on the computer, so I totally get how being outdoors enjoying the beauty around you trumps all else. Happy Anniversary to you and your husband!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos, Carol. I can't get over how much California looks like Crete! I swear, the pics of the flowers in the landscape could be the meadow behind my home and the sea, the Aegean!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary!

Wonderful post! I love seeing some pics from your adventures! Great pics! The flowers have been SO amazing this year! Happy Anniversary! I haven't blogged as much the past few years for the same reason....out having fun! Blogging takes a LOT of time. I'm trying to get back to it though because it is fun.
ReplyDeleteCarol, this post was so delightful . . . you out did yourself. Before I type anymore and forget . . . Happy Anniversary! Our was the 2nd, and we forgot all about it. Steve was catching up on some paperwork from work and asked me the date. I wasn't sure if it was the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, so I went to the calendar. I told him it was the 2nd and he thanked me, then about 5 minutes later he says, "hey, it's our anniversary", we got a big senior moment laugh out of it.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are amazing and it looks like you are having a perfect California Springtime . . . If I were there I would be enjoying the weather and the countryside and not in front of the computer either.
Enjoy, sweet friend!
Connie :)
Life is good! Keep enjoying it. I enjoyed your post and beautiful photos. Take care.

Well, you've been enjoying life and that's what is important! My blogging has slowed down quite a bit as well. Time seems to fly by quickly and I have a lot on my plate. :) I'm drooling over that red polka dot bowl!

Wonderful post, Carol...you have so much beauty all around you, I would find it terribly hard to sit down and write. Your pics are gorgeous. The one thing that stood out the most when I visited San Diego was all of the flowers and blooming shrubs and trees. One huge garden!! The scent was intoxicating. When I see your pictures it all comes back to me.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary to you and your guy...here's to many more years of adventures together!
Easter blessings,
