Don't Give Up On Me

I finally saw a hand specialist on Tuesday - cortisone shots in my wrist and thumb, a heavy duty brace and 2 impending surgeries.

Using the computer is difficult - I was visiting everyone, but not leaving comments.

And then, my 11 month old MacBook Pro decided to go dark so I am not visiting anyone or responding to emails until I get my laptop back on Tuesday.

I can shop and found a great little cart when I was buying the number 3.

And I can do some decorating so the little cart is now dressed up in the entry with some of my mother's vintage linens.

I will be back visiting blogs as soon as my laptop is home, but please forgive me for not commenting or responding quickly to your emails.

  2. AW!
You poor thing... so sorry about the hand. I do hope the shots helped give some relief. Maybe not having the computer... will help and be more therapeutic than anything else.
Although, I know not having the computer is also stressful. We rely on them for everything now days!
I laughed at 'buying the 3' ... and that little cart ? ADORABLE!
    I would have bought it...
    and a "4"... ;)

My neighbor's nephew gave me a computer that is not a lap top with all the bells and whistles, so now I have two and one maybe. LOL
Take care of yourself and hope that the shots help.
Hope we get rain - I have been waiting all day and nothing. I really don't think they know what is going to happen.

  45. My heart goes out to you, Carol. My mother just received cortisone shots in her thumbs and a trigger finger. Because she's 75, she's opting not to have surgery, but right now she's in a lot of pain so I'm hoping she changes her mind. I hope you get some relief soon so you can get back to doing all the things you love to do.

    Sweet little cart!!

  46. I love your cart and all that you put in it. How sweet to have your mom's beautiful linens.

Get better soon, Carol! My dad is going through the same thing and it is so painful. My mom had double CT surgery and did better after that. She was an artist, too.

  48. Ouch on the hand is right! I am glad you're getting some relief at least with shots and a brace and hope the surgeries go well. I used to have a lot of hand problems when I typed for a living as a medical transcriptionist and would go to Walgreens and buy braces to carry on, but it never got to the point you are at. Adore the little cart above. You can disappear for awhile and I won't forget you.
