Where does the time go?

I have been catching up with everyday life after a long weekend away.

Our garden room has been crying out for love lately so I spent all day Monday and Wednesday outdoors.

The garden is now a welcoming spot for relaxing

and eating lunch.

A few flowers were cut for the living room

and the dining room.

The last of my daisies were made into a bouquet for my next door neighbor.

In search of teacups and teapots for an Alice in Wonderland baby shower my daughter is hosting, I came across these polka dot plates and could not pass them up.

Windows thrown open on a gorgeous spring evening, Easter flowers and the polka dot plates made a simple dinner of salad and scallops a little bit festive.

And that is all I have to show for the entire week.

Where does the time go?

I think the times goes into the air, into the cool and crisp air of the night only to come back as memory in the morning. There in YOUR garden can you gather your thoughts and be at peace. Oh how lovely is your WORLD, CAROL! Big hugs, Anita

Where does the time go? A lot of my time goes to trying to remember what I walked into the room for.... Looking forward to some garden time soon.

Where does the time go, indeed! The grass is greening up around here, but the occasional warmish day is followed by many cool ones and things are slow in the garden. Your outdoor room looks like a beautiful place to linger and enjoy the flowers and artistic touches, Carol!

You should be glad that you live really far from me. Otherwise your polka dot plates might be in danger. So cute! I'm crushing on your surf boards in the garden. Do you think it would be strange for me to have surf boards in my garden in Michigan????

Hi Carol, your flowers are amazing! That California coastal weather is so wonderful for growing. I am always intrigued my your table settings, too. You make every meal a celebration and I think that is delightful.
Your daughter's baby shower is going to be fantastic; how could it not be when she has inherited creative genes from both Mom and Dad.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Your blogging sis, Connie :)

Carol,
Be still my heart....your red rose is so lovely. And the daisies are one of my favorites too. How wonderful that you are having an Alice In Wonderland baby shower. You know, Jess loves Alice In Wonderland, and she would love the idea of having this for a theme. The black polka dot plates are perfect.

Have a peaceful Sunday.
