The Kindness of Strangers

I am nothing like Blanche Du Bois and have never "depended on the kindness of strangers", but I have been certainly been blessed by the kindness of strangers.

Over the last few month, I received generous gifts from blogging friends and have not yet posted about them.

Sue from House Kaboodle sent me the sweet Valentine towel, but with my color palette and love of hearts, we can use it year round.

I had the time today to play a little with the fun supplies that Kathy of Kluless sent me last month.

I started altering the book, but I knew I had to utilize the title of the book - Try and Stop Me - and I definitely will showcase the dedication in some way.

The 23 Skidoo card is just too fun to put in a book so it is hanging on the wall in my creative space to enjoy and think of Kathy in Portland each time I see it.

Vera of Row Homes and Cobblestones is a new blogger and she was so kind to think of me when she and her husband were visiting Articulture in Philadelphia recently.

I used the grass from the package and the vintage style card in my first bit of Easter display in the house.

I love the packaging on the seeds Vera sent me for my garden.

The artwork on the seed packing is too pretty to not use so I connected Vera and Kathy by gluing the seed packet into my altered book.

And Vera's purchase of the seeds continues the "kindness of strangers" because for each purchase, a packet will be donated for a garden in Philadelphia.

Three people, all strangers to me, but through blogging, now friends.

Although cold outside, it is a beautiful day so I am going to leave my computer to plant my seeds and I will be thinking of these friends and all the other friends I have made through blogging.

Lovely post, and so true how we can be stranger but connect with certain people that we have so much in common with that they become friends.............
I feel blogging is like electronic
pen pals, and I always had pen pals as a kid and had mail all the time
and loved it............
Think that is one reason I enjoy
blogging so much.

Blessings, and enjoy planting your seeds...I just had my cilantro seeds come up, so excited to see how much they produce....lol
Blessings,
Nellie

And I have the most beautiful WHITE book with textured paper and flowers sitting here next to my writing space, sent to me by a lovely friend in Ventura, who I've never met. But kindness knows no particular faces, but simply requires the gesture. I have been horrible about sharing all the lovely gestures of sweetness shown to me....Vera too is a wonderful friend who reached out to me a few days ago and has been "by my side." Oh Carol, YOUR KITCHEN!!!!!!!!! WANT LOVE NEED! ahahahhahah

Enjoy a cozy evening in your darling cottage by the sea. Anita

Such a lovely post about the kindest type of people we meet in our blog world. There are a good handful of bloggers that touch your heart, and you obviously have some that are quite fond of you. It is such a pleasure to see your post in regards. Kinda' feels like "Christmas" to me right now, reading it. Thanks so much for sharing.

Sue from Housekaboodle posted and I followed on over. She is a real dear at heart.

I enjoy reading your posts and our friendship that continues on afterwards in emails. You amaze me with your energetic, creative and sheer kindness that seems to grow everyday.
From the bottom of my heart I thank you for posting from your warm heart. Happy weekend my friend.
