Tickled Pink

I didn't know what to title this post so I googled synonyms for HAPPY.

I chose Tickled Pink because that is how I felt about all the little "happies" I photographed yesterday in order to write this post.

I spotted my first spring rose in the garden and had to bring it into the house to enjoy watching it open.

I am definitely "tickled pink" with my new computer which is thinner, lighter and so much faster than my 5 year old "slow poke".

Flowers blooming

all over the yard

and filling pitchers in the house definitely make me happy.

I couldn't pass up the gorgeous daffodils at the grocery store.

Having old friends over for dinner and creating a pleasing table setting was a definite "happy".

These little black and white bowls tickled my fancy.

My plan to set the table with white plates didn't work out because I only had two red bowls.

So, I was excited when I found little black and white bowls at  TJ Maxx.

Little wire baskets served as place cards

I had red napkins and fortunately I hoard fabric because I found enough black fabric (left over from a curtain I made for my sister's bathroom ) to make napkins.

I was happy with the results of the table, but even happier that J and D have found one another.

J lost her son to cancer, D lost his wife to cancer and Match.com recently brought together two people we have known for years.

You may look at this photo and ask how I could use the blog title Tickled Pink,

but a new computer, flowers, setting the table and our guests excited me and brought me joy.

What has Tickled you Pink lately?

Hi, just clicked over from Junk Chic Cottage. That was a lovely pillow and a lovely gift you sent. FYI, the script on your blog is SO tiny that I can barely read it. And I would like to be able to read your words! Barbara in Mn

I enjoyed seeing and reading about everything that had you "tickled pink". How interesting that two people you knew ended up meeting through a dating website; too bad you can't claim the credit of introducing them!

I'm looking forward to finding flowers in my garden. Yours, both indoors and out, really add wonderful touches to your beautiful home.

So you mean you knew each of them individually but they found each other through match.com? That's so cool! We know several people who've had such good luck with that service. You should be tickled pink - so many wonderful things!

Carol...what a mood lifter all of these flowers and dishes and bright colors these are! I love daffs! And the dishes are really cute. I like that you made the napkins.

I'm so happy for your friends...it's hard to open your heart after a big loss. My hubby lost his wife of 10 years and I was so grateful he had enough room in his heart for me. :)

Good morning, what lovely colours again! And a new notebook.
Yesterday I told my husband from your blog and the colours. Saturday we visited a furniture store and I saw chairs in bright colours, yellow, red, bue and green and I wanted to buy them - but I can not sit on it, not good for my back. I was sad.

What has tickled me pink recently? The email I opened from you today that said my little Bee Sunspace was being featured this Friday!

You have so many wonderful things to be tickled pink about, but I must say a new MacBook Pro ranks very high on the pink list. I have loved Mac computers since the 80's and have never converted to the PC dark side. Graphics, now photos, are so much easier using Macs. I had to use PCs some for my job, but always went back to Macs as soon as I could.
