Merry Christmas

Monday night all of our neighbors joined at the home of Joe and Amy to celebrate the 7th night of Hanukkah along with the Winter Solstice.

Joe shared the story of Hanukkah, Amy shared a beautiful poem and we each lit a candle making a wish.

My wish for you this holiday season is that you are gathered around a table, eating, sharing stories, leaving no one out . . .

  15. I have some time before I head out for dinner at a friend's home and thought I'd do a little catch up with some of your posts. I'm very impressed by the new walking habit. It's been something I've been planning to start (just not as lengthy a time as yours). Merry Christmas to you!

  26. Dearest Carol!

    How I'd love to drop in on your on Wednesday night for that progressive dinner! What a kind invitation and fun idea. We have those here too and it's such fun. We are now having our typical cold weather, but for Christmas, we had no snow and at least 45 degrees, which is warm for us! Today however, it's at least -10 degrees. Now that's the Minnesota we love!

    THANK YOU so much for the gorgeous comment you left me. It is wonderful to know that what I write gives someone a feeling, one that they look forward to. That is so special, and it is part of the thrill of writing. But to think I'll be going on seven years is quite remarkable, because it's truly the people who I have come to love. Wishing you lots of love and fun as 2014 unrolls into a new era. BIG HUGS! OH,, I will be contacting you soon for some recommendations for Carmel!! Anita

  27. Hi Carol,
    Sounds like you had a wonderful time with family, friends and neighbors this holiday season. Such a lovely tradition and poem your friends shared with you. Getting together and sharing traditions, stories and love is what it's all about. Wishing you a new year filled with much happiness, good health, love and prosperity. Sending you a warm hug. We're expecting a big storm in the next couple of days. Not sure if it is coming from your direction but hope all will be well with you. Be safe.

    Hugs,
    ❤️Ana

  28. I'm dropping by, Carol, to wish you and Steve a Happy New Year!

    I hope and pray you are starting to feel better and have had a good rest and wonderful holidays.

    I am about to embark on a cleaning project and all sorts of stuff. Nothing fun to catalog, but my new best friends are the thrift store and storage bins! How does one accumulate so much??? More is more is getting to be less. Time to share the bounty! ;

    Sending much love to you...

    xo

    Sheila :-)

    P.S. Those adorable stripey elves... is there someone they might be purchased online? I have been smitten. Truly smitten. I know I just said I am clearing out, but I am in LOVE.
