A Great Win!

Several months ago I won a giveaway on Elaine's blog, Sunny Simple Life.

I got to select $75 worth of merchandise from Origami Owl.

I went to the website and chose a bunch of stuff, e-mailed Rachel of Rachel's Junk in a Trunk as to what I wanted and forgot about it.

Yesterday, I received a package in the mail.

I am a sucker for the marketing ploy of a great package design.

I love the little Chinese food take-out box and fortune cookie shaped jewelry boxes.

And, I love their motto, "we tell stories with jewelry".

I had forgotten what I ordered and it was so much fun to pull out all the little pieces from the box.

I love using words in my decorating in addition to wearing them.

I laughed as I created the I Can collage because I must have uttered, "I can't" at least 3 times today- all having to do with "I can't take this heat"!

I enjoyed styling the fun Origami Owl pieces for the photographs

even though I am not sure what I will do with them yet.

I definitely do

and am loving Elaine and Rachel for introducing me to Origami Owl.

  1. How lucky you are that you won this giveaway! I'm familiar with Origami Owl, though I don't have any of their jewelry. I like how you've styled the charms already!

  8. Yes, it was a great win. I sell Origami Owl and I love it. The ones with the loops you can wear all together on the chain. The ones that don't have them are made to wear in the lockets. They look really good layered. I didn't see a locket. They are really nice. They have glass for the fronts and come in gold, rose gold, black and silver. It's a great company started by a young girl. Enjoy.

  10. Good evening my friend! These are great little accessories for your endless idea bank for creating personable souvenirs for example, a BEACH GARDEN PARTY for friends! And your photography is excellent. Another dear blogger pal out in California is telling me about the horrible fires in San Diego. I pray you are safe and well. This weather is frighteningly strange.

  28. OK. So the other day I was reading your post and Sammy walked across my laptop. He pushed some button that made your post get really long and skinny. So skinny I can't really read the post. This doesn't happen on any other blog. Just yours. I have to figure out just what the heck is going on. Because your photography is quite lovely and I don't want to miss it!

  29. Congratulations on winning! You have some FUN things to "play with." I read about the high heat in your area...can you believe we had a high in the mid-60s this week? Our weather has flip-flopped with yours. Today was only about 75 high. We are absolutely LOVING it.
