Ornament Exchange

This is my second year participating in the Ornament Exchange at Life on Willie Mae Lane.

I received my package from Sherry from Thrift My House, put everything on my workbench

and immediately lost all sight of the container (except the candy bar which Steve stole) as "Christmas" began to pile up on the workbench.

All my energy was focused on decorating for Creating Christmas, but once I was done and began cleaning up, there was Sherry's bucket full of goodies waiting for me.

precious little snowmen . . .

sweet little birds with clothes pin legs . . .

owls with the cutest "googly" eyes made out of bottle caps . . .

an ornament filled with feathers, another made from a sweater and a fun little jingle bells tag.

Our Christmas tree this year is decorated in sparkles and glitter, but I remembered my rusty metal tree on the porch.

I love this tree and it is perfect to show off all of Sherry's work.

I found the perfect spot for the tree and used Sherry's idea of clothes pins to hang all of the ornaments.

I love the little birds and tomorrow I plan to steal Sherry's idea and make a few birds to decorate packages.

Drop by Life on Willie Mae Lane to check out all the other ornaments in the exchange.

Ornament Exchange

Last month I signed up for an Ornament Swap with Vickie of Life on Willie Mae Lane.

I sent my ornament and other treats to Donna of Distressed Donna Down Home, but I forgot to take any photos.

You can see here the little banner, ornament, cards and bag I made for Donna.

I received my package from Jeanne of Slammin' the Screen Door and love her message "from the sandy beaches of Florida to the sandy beaches of California".

Sweet and thoughtful gifts filled the package -

a journal with my initial covered in polka dots,

a cute blue Christmas mug perfect for hot cocoa and a tin full of Hershey Kisses.

Now where did those wrappers come from?

The ornament fits perfectly in our little beach house - I described it to Vickie as having the colors of the ocean.

I love all of my gifts from Jeanne and enjoyed participating in the Ornament Exchange.

A big thank you to Vickie for organizing the swap.
