As I scrolled through my IG gallery looking for photos, I noticed that blues, aquas and whites filled my sumner.
Baby pumpkins in white and orange on my little green table are a departure from my usual palette.
While I was on jury duty, our painter was working his magic on our walls - my green pie safe looks crisp and clear against a white background.
Bouquets of colorful flowers are my usual centerpiece in the dining room, but pumpkins in a green box are a nice seasonal change.
Even the garden is sporting flowers in fall colors
and those fall flowers look lovely in vignettes.
Steve changed the painting over the mantel so I am trying out different ideas on the mantel that will compliment the colors of the sky and ocean.
The colors in the living room are softer - especially with the cute pillow I won on an Instagram giveaway from Bianca of With Lavender and Grace.
The house is decked out in whites and pastels this season,
but you can see from the bench on our porch and the accents in the entryway
that my seasonal colors are all across the spectrum.
What are your seasonal colors this year?

Oh this looks so good dear Carol. My colors? As usual: white, white, white with gray and a touch of steel blue in nature such as the pumpkins. Natural wood tones are what I love and that's about it. We love it.
ReplyDeleteI like your soft colours.
ReplyDeleteMerle.......
Fall is beautiful at your cottage. :)
ReplyDeleteYour home looks so crisp and fresh with your newly painted walls. Loving all of your vignettes. Lots of great inspiration.

I love the white walls. I'm ready for some greens and oranges in my decor!!
ReplyDeleteI love all your vignettes but my fave is the one with the scissors and alarm clock. Those grasses are so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!! My fall colors are beiges, blues, and copper.
ReplyDeleteCarol,
ReplyDeleteIt is all so pretty. Love your new white walls and they do make all your colors pop. Happy Fall.
Kris
Gorgeous! I especially like the blue bench with the pumpkins and sunflowers. It's so striking with it's brilliant colors and a wonderful way to welcome friends to your door :)
ReplyDeleteWow, nice win, Carol! I love the pretty pillow, and it's perfect for your cottage. I also like the mini pumpkins in your home. I'm still working on my autumn decor. :)
ReplyDeleteFor the first time, I brought home a faux white pumpkin. And then I returned it ;) I decided I'm a die-hard orange and yellow and green fall celebrator, so I've stuck with it! Your fall decor is lovely.

Very nice, Carol. I haven't changed anything in my house yet. And with everything going on I may not get to it until Christmas. YIKES!
ReplyDeleteI'll just keep popping over here to enjoy fall :)
So very pretty, Carol! My colors are bright and traditional in the porch and outdoors...in the living room and kitchen I went more neutral with just pops of color.
ReplyDeleteMy Fall decorating is subtle -- I wait until Christmas and go all out!! Your home is lovely all year around. Sally
ReplyDeleteYou and Steve are both so talented, Carol. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteEverything is so pretty!!

I am loving all your fall colors and your summer collage is quite spectacular.
ReplyDeleteI love all the touches of orange in your palette. Such pretty vignettes. I add orange and brown in the fall to my neutral colors. Happy fall!
ReplyDeleteI've been a RED person for about 10 years. This year I have added touches of blue/aqua and much more white! You home is lovely as always, and adding new colors for fall is a Very Good Thing! Love the newly painted wall :) Blessings, Cindy xo
ReplyDeleteI'm liking your softer look for fall! Love the box of pumpkins on your table instead of flowers. What kind of greenery (the leaves) tucked in the pumpkins?
ReplyDeleteLove the peaceful feel of your seasonal colors - both summer and fall are restful and relaxing. Happy new season to you!
ReplyDeleteI love all your mini pumpkin decorations and all the aqua blue sin your photo collage!
ReplyDeleteCarol I'm so happy for you! Those white walls are a perfect backdrop for your creative vignettes and Steve's lush artwork. I love a freshly painted room, it makes me feel so happy. Is that how it feels to you?
ReplyDeleteI do like the white on your walls! And the texture. It gives you a back drop for whatever color you want. Your autumn vignettes are a great color addition.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Neutrals with pops of color. Love it Carol. Great photos! Happy October and thanks for stopping by the Texas home tour for fall. xo
ReplyDeleteYour newly painted white walls make a great backdrop to your decor and Steve's artwork. It all looks so pretty and I like the pops of blue and orange. I've added a bit of orange with pumpkin gourds, soft aqua, and also dried hydrangea which are pinky coloured. How do you make a collage on Instagram? Do you used a free collage maker? I'd like to do that but haven't found just the right one yet. Thanks for your help. Pam
ReplyDelete...adding little tiny touches of orange, gold.....
ReplyDeleteplaying with pumpkins...and I love your basket of tiny pumpkins so I am on my way BACK to the pumpkin patch...
everything at your cottage looks amazing.
So pretty! I love your crisp white walls! I still have aqua on the porch but added some Fall orange and yellow...it goes well surprisingly. I still have the golds, muted oranges, rusts and browns as décor in my dining room since those are the year round colors in there....my Fall room!
ReplyDeleteCarol, as always beautiful. Loving the centerpiece on the dining room table. The blue bench looks pretty in it's fall glory. Happy you are done with jury duty.
ReplyDeleteCindy
Carol, love your autumn touches to your beautiful cottage! I love all the traditional autumn colors that we see all around our Appalachian Foothills! Pam @ Everyday Living
ReplyDeleteThe colors must change because the light changes. But for whatever reason, I'm ready for a new palette, craving oranges and gentle pinks and a touch of gold, not necessarily together :-)

Carol,
ReplyDeleteBlue and white are always my colors, but I have added a couple of new traditional fall colored pillows to my deck that I am loving.
Judith
Carol, The bits of orange with blue go very well. It's amazing how just a little does so much. Sylvia D.
ReplyDeleteOur colours are white and blue. As demonstrated in Steve's picture and your displays a touch or orange would look add a lovely autumn touch. Sarah x
