I have too much "stuff" so for the month of November, I am challenging myself to 30 Days of Creativity with the goal in mind of using up lots of supplies.
In cleaning the garage, I came across a stack of plain white tea towels I ordered from Amazon last year and I can't for the life of me remember why.
I stenciled two of the towels and will hang them in the kitchen when it finally gets painted next week.
I have way too much paper on hand so I used a little to make a Thanksgiving banner for the mantel.
I have way too much paper on hand so I used a little to make a Thanksgiving banner for the mantel.
I painted a Welcome sign on an old cabinet door
I have been making wire wreaths
My sewing cabinet is overflowing (way too embarrassing to show) so I am making Christmas decorations to use up fabric.
I don't really need any more banners or stockings so I did a Giveaway on Instagram.
I announced the winner on Saturday and was incredibly touched by the response.
As I drove into Los Angeles yesterday, I thought about the winner's reaction and decided that I need to do a Giveaway on the blog too.
Carol, From the looks of things...you have been very busy. Love all your cute things. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteYou must come over and be creative at my house when you are done. HA! HA!
ReplyDeleteGood for you for using up stash!!
ReplyDeleteI love all of your adorable craft projects, especially the banner. I'm not sure what I would pick? Maybe a soft shabby color or gray "give thanks"
ReplyDeleteOMG, what a nice give-a-way. I think I would like one in red like the one you made that says, eat, drink and be merry if I won. Thanks for the chance. I always enjoy seeing all of your creative endeavors.
ReplyDeleteI think it's fabulous that you are being creative and using up supplies. I am trying to use up some paper as I craft some pocket letters and I'm hoping to make a banner this year (I say this every year but this year might be the one I finally do it). LOVE the runner...mine would say 'Wishing You JOY' and red like the one you showed us! Fingers crossed.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Linda
What a nice give away. Whoever wins will be thrilled to have one of your creations. Thank you for doing this.
ReplyDeleteIf I'm the winner, I'd like the background to be a gray/blue for the words, It's a new day.
Happy Creating ~ FlowerLady
What a great giveaway. Thank you for the opportunity to enter. I'd probably like the words "Give Thanks" in dark cranberry. I do love your creativity.
ReplyDeleteCarol, What a great challenge for yourself. I should follow your lead!!!! I won't sign up for the giveaway because I just won something on another sign up. Someone is going to get very lucky though.
ReplyDeleteHappy Crafting!!! xo Diana
Carol,
ReplyDeleteI adore when you post, I always come away smiling because my friend Carol truly has an appreciation and zest for living in creativity. Funny I was just sharing an email exchange with Anita about me starting an IG account in addition to my blog. i think I will beginning in 2016. I capture photos I do not post on my blog so yes I think it is a good idea.
I love the runner you featured ... Me? Mrs. Eat, drink and be Merry would be thrilled - absolutely tickled Pink and Periwinkle to win.
Carol thank you for brightening my day with your active creativity and sweetness.
xoxo,
Vera
Gosh you sure are being creative! You always are though and I'm always amazed how much you get done. We've been in cleaning mode, washed/polished all our wood floors, cleaned/straightened up the dungeon, gave away 4 huge boxes of stuff to charity. The next 3 days we'll be in the garage to clean that up so we can get a car in during winter. Next we'll be raking leaves and filling bags. So you see I'm feeling say I can't be creative while you just popping gorgeous projects out!
ReplyDeleteLove how you are using up some of your craft stuff--and giving some away. Your give away photos are so creative!
ReplyDeleteSure enter my name. "Love. Joy. Peace. would be my choice; green background and off-white lettering.
I love the wire wreaths you're making and the stockings! I'm trying to think of what I would want stenciled. Please enter me but could it be a surprise if I win? I love anything to do with Christmas! Thanks sweet friend. Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeletesuch a fun challenge to give yourself!! i enjoyed all of your crafts, you are so very creative!!
ReplyDeletei have way too many christmas decorations, so don't enter me...but i sure did enjoy this post!!!!
When you challenge yourself, you really kick it into high gear! You've accomplished a lot already and it's only the 9th! I love the red on the muslin, and I'd probably choose, Love, Joy, Peace, Hope for the words.
ReplyDeleteYou go girl! What a lovely item to give away. Thanks for the opportunity to win. You are doing so many creative things.
ReplyDeleteJudy
Oh..your creativity always makes me happy! The table runner is awesome! If I win. I would like it to say blessings in grey...:) Love it Carol and thanks for hosting! You are THE creative genius! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Vicky
oh so cute! If I were drawn as the winner, I would want one exactly as shown...red with the same word. So, so cute.
ReplyDeleteYou are keeping busy in the best possible way! A table runner doesn't work well on my round table but I am cheering you on. You are going to make someone VERY happy!
ReplyDeleteYou are the most creative lady, EVER...
ReplyDeleteI would be so thrilled to win your generous giveaway and if I won, I would want one just like yours.
Thanks for the chance.
I had a generous friend ship me a box of Christmas scraps so I have been coming up with some creative quilting projects to use them up. You have a variety of supplies to use up but are making some cute things. I like the simplicity of your table runner. I would like the red on burlap with the words Love, Peace and Joy if I win. Thanks for offering a chance to win.

Hi Carol,
ReplyDeleteLove all your beautiful creations. So sweet the reaction to the give away. I bet that makes her feel so special to have won your beautiful stocking. The table runner is gorgeous too. You know me it would have to be white and gray to match my dining room. Thanks for the chance Carol. Have a great week.
Kris

ReplyDeleteI have been crazy busy since May doing 2 art shows and 2 gallery shows and hope we can visit one day when things are less busy for both of us.
The words "creatively busy " come to mind when I read this post. Creatively busy and generous, and also practical.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it wonderful to be able to make someone's day? Thank you for the lovely post....

Carol,
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful thing to have give-aways on both Instagram and your blog. You have been so busy, and now offer to make a custom-designed table runner, that I am envious of your energy and inspiration. Have a wonderful rest of the week,
Judith
I love your resourcefulness! I have so much stuff that when I actually want to make something I can't find the parts! I would love the banner in green background with white letters that say "Joy to the World". Thanks for a great giveaway!

ReplyDeleteYou know your constant creativity always astounds me. :-) I love your dropcloth runner...I would probably choose exactly what you have pictured because my kitchen accent color is red and I love that saying for the holidays. For there truly is nothing better than having family members or friends sitting around the kitchen table, eating, drinking and laughing with you, is there?
ReplyDeleteHi Carol, boy when you get crackin' you really get crackin'. I wish I had your energy . . . maybe you should bottle some of that and have another Give-A-Way, LOL. Wish I could say that I've been that busy!! I would love a runner in an olive green to add some cheer to my dining table!
ReplyDeleteI love your creativity challenges! You always amaze me at how much you accomplish! It looks like so much fun to do! I'd love to do this but my to-do list of stuff to make tends to take longer than a day for each one. I'm busy de-stashing and making like crazy though. I really need to get back to blogging and post some of the stuff I've been up to. :-D Have fun!
ReplyDeleteJust love your first photo, the colours are lovely.
ReplyDeletePlease don't worry about including me in the draw, I just like to visit your blog and see your lovely crafts ...

rue
You sure have been a busy lady, Carol, and your creativity never ceases to amaze me! I'd be proud to own a "Carol" original. Love your table runner just the way it is.
ReplyDeleteSo wonderful!!! "Baby it's cold outside" would do it for me, in red. May sound strange, but it epitomizes winter and Christmas for Kent and I. We love the song, the sparkling snow and we were married in the winter. -23 degrees on the day!!
ReplyDeleteI guess I've been busy this month but not necessarily creative. Love your projects and your enthusiasm and joy -- all of which simply permeate your posts! (And if I won, it would look exactly like the one pictured!)
ReplyDeleteHi Carol, You know my favorite color is Red and my word is JOY! I've really missed your blog while I've been away. Hoping to keep feeling better and better so I can keep stopping by and getting back to blogging myself!! I love your inspiration!! Blessings, Cindy
