Welcome to Art and Sand.
This is my second year joining Vicki' s Grow Your Blog party at 2 Bags Full.
My husband asked me why I needed to grow my blog, and I explained that it is about meeting fun and diverse people to visit.
I am not sure why I began blogging in the first place, but I definitely know why I continue.
Blogging keeps me from being lazy.
In order to have topics for Art and Sand, I need to be "doing" things daily.
Last year, I titled my blog post A Little of This & A Little of That.
The blog continues to be a mishmash of things that I love:
a little bit of decorating,
a little bit of table setting,
a little bit of furniture painting,
a little bit of crafts,
To thank you for visiting, I am doing a Giveaway.
I have a bunch of these little wire baskets and
I've been busy making little quote cards to fill the baskets.
If you are interested in winning the Giveaway, please leave a comment.
I will draw 2 names and announce the winners on February 15.
I know that not everyone loves color like I do.
The winners will be able to request the quote cards in their personal color palette.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Make sure you visit Vicki at Two Bags Full to meet the other participants in the Grow Your Blog Party.

Welcome to the big beautiful Grow Your Blog Hop! I volunteered to help Vicki as a GYB party volunteer. Vicki will stop by sometime I am sure, but with over 500 blogs participating it will take her time to visit everyone so she asked for volunteers to help today. I offered to help. I am so happy I did because I have found your blog. Your photography is beautiful as is your home. I love color and I also love the neutral pallet of the sea and sand and rock. Thanks for sharing ... :) Pat @ Life in the Scrapatch

Carol, two homes ago I lived in a little house full of color, the same palette as yours. The dining room was red, the living room green, the master bedroom bright yellow and red. I collected brightly colored dishes and linens, checks and stripes and florals everywhere : ) Maybe it's one of the things that first attracted me to your blog? Even though I choose to live with a more neutral palette at this stage of life, I still love seeing colorful homes and yours always feels so warm and cheerful. I'm glad you're sharing your part of the world with us!

Hi Carol
ReplyDeleteGood to meet you - I love mish mash blogs, they're my favourite sort!!
I was just over at the Grow Your Blog Party and I found some new blogs to follow. I love your blog and all the color...your decorating is so cheerful and happy. I love white, but I also love pops of red and aqua in my decor. But I'm not loving all this white stuff outside!! Really...I do like winter, but this is the most snow we've had since 1978 and bitter, bitter temps. So seeing your beautiful weather...makes me smile! :-)

Hello dear Carol
ReplyDeleteI'm sure we met at this party last year - can you remember?!
It's a treat to step into your colorful world where the sky always looks blue.
Love how you've dressed your cottage - the old painted furniture - I want those wire baskets! - and all your arty bits and bobs everywhere - it's a dream!
It takes an artist's eye to use color so courageously as you have Carol.
I'm know I'm fortunate to have my extended visits to France each year, spending time with my family. It's wonderful experiencing the village life where they live - you will love being there Carol. What part are your friends in?
LOVE your quote cards - they are all gorgeous - if I was lucky enough to win I would want you to choose it - the more colorful the better as they are part of who you are!!!
Hugs
