Looking for love . . .


Yesterday was a difficult day made incredibly easier by good friends and the kind people who left sweet words on my post.

The outpouring of love combined with a post titled Hearts written by Francis at By Surprise made me go "looking for love" in my surroundings.


It is obvious that I adore hearts from the heart and hand display in my living room.

But, my eyes were hunting for less obvious evidence of my heart addiction.

I found - 


a simple heart photo album,


hearts with flowers and hearts that are flowers,


hearts I made, 


hearts shaped of metal,


 and hearts in the garden.


Too many hearts?

There are even more hearts I didn't photograph!

They make me happy and there can never be too much love.

    Good evening Carol. My heart is with you; I write because I LOVE to communicate. I adore blogging because I can see immediate results in my words to another, and vice-versa. I am currently taking a poetry class that belongs to a different genre of writing that what blogging requires, at least at the social level. It is difficult, it will make me a better writer IN TIME (maybe a life time), but the most important thing I never want to lose is the connection with people who are in need, who want to rejoice, who need someone to listen.

    I adore Francis, and I'm so happy that she inspired you to seek the most abundant resource in the universe: LOVE.

    I believe that the creatures we are given will one day be experienced, maybe in a new light. But love is never wasted....N E V E R.

    Such a fitting post to help mend your broken heart. As you know, I absolutely adore your cottage and everything in it! I always enjoy looking at every little detail in your photos. You have such a good eye for putting things together and making them look just perfect. Such happy little hearts all over your home!     Your hearts are so beautiful. I also collect hearts and our beloved Mandy had a white heart on her head. I knew when I saw her that she was the one for us. My favorite heart is one our Daughter found while she was walking home one day, a rock in the shape of a heart.

    I love hearts too! They make me so happy, and I noticed the hands, which I thought were so cute. I have always wanted a HAND to hang my jewelry and things on. I love all your hearts, but especially the heart chair.

    I have a friend who collects hearts ( she lost her Son ) I guess they have healing powers.............
    I have a pinterest page Carol - with just hearts - if you like them there's some beauties there
    ( you probably have a Hearts board too? )

    I just read your previous post too and am so sad. My heart goes out to you, for I know the loss of a beloved pet. After over 20 years without a pet, our sweet Sadie came to live with us a year ago March. She has filled our life with such joy. I hope you can adopt another dog when your hearts fill you can. Don't wait 20 years as we did. There are so many sweet doggies out there that need good homes.

    I love hearts, too...I probably have more than I realized. At one point, I was going to do a heart theme in the master bedroom. It was when stenciled wall borders were "in". I stenciled pale blue hearts as a border in the middle of the walls and had different heart tchotchkes around.

    I've been thinking about you a lot. I remember the first days after we lost Sierra. I woke up at one in the morning so when Patrick came home from a night out it wouldn't feel so empty and sad. Memories of Sierra were everywhere. Her favorite spot. The instant greeting at the door... It's so hard to lose a beloved dog...sending you all my warm prayers that everyday gets easier.

    Oh I am so so sorry. Losing our fur babies is so so hard. Your baby's story sounds so much like ours. Ben, our golden, was left on the porch of my son's fraternity house when he was about 3 months old. My son brought him home (without asking us) to live here. Of course, we fell in love with him immediately and like yours, he also ate a ton of chocolate one time he found in my closet. It was for Christmas gifts. He also got our Easter ham once. Neither seemed to bother him. :) He's 12 years old now and has a bad bad hip but does pretty good. Please know, we all feel for your loss. xo

    I adore hearts! I seem to see them everywhere... especially in nature. Every time I see a heart in nature, I feel like God's saying, "I LOVE YOU!"

    I love hearts too. My friends had hearts on her car and tatooed on her in various places.
